Williams is the Head Coach of the North Carolina basketball team and is in the College basketball Hall of Fame. His book recounts his life from an early age and gives a detailed insight into his background and what has driven him to be a successful coach.
It is interesting to read about his attitude to recruitment, preparation, analysis and goal setting with his players. These seem to be the foundations of his Coaching success, along with the title of the book- Hard Work.
For me, the "good ol' boy" writing style is a bit schmaltzy, but it appears to be a genuine reflection of Williams as a person. Worth a read to learn from someone who is one of the best in his business, and for me, outside of my peer group or knowledge base.
